Consistent with our community-wide role in founding the college, the mission of the Copper Mountain College Foundation is fundraising and responsible stewardship of donor investments in support of the facilities, programs, and activities of Copper Mountain Community College District.
Your Copper Mountain College Foundation is pleased to have supported our campus community in the following ways over the last twelve months. Five defibrillators were installed on campus; funded the Institutional Researcher’s salary; sixteen kindles were awarded to interns completing 100 hours at local businesses; broke ground on the Christine Proudfoot Student Activity Center, Bud & Betty’s Place for Vets and the Faculty Advisement Center/Offices; 51,299 rides were taken by CMC students on MBTA for a quarter; printed 1,000 copies of the HOWL, our campus literary publication; awarded $143,596 worth of scholarships to CMC students and High School seniors coming to CMC this fall; hosted five 3rd Thursday Cultural Events; funded the CMC Service Club’s airfare to Haiti to deliver 19 laptops; paid for all vocational nurses testing resulting in a 90% pass rate for VNs; paid eight Phi Theta Kappa students registration fees for regional conference; helped CMC Engineers build a weather balloon; helped keep our campus safe by paying for Alert U services and the emergency notification system on our phones; sent two Phi Theta Kappa students to Honors Institute in St. Louis. Currently 45 staff members have a payroll deduction supporting the Foundation. It is amazing what can be done when we all pull together.
